NOVEMBER 3, 2011:

CS Custom Structures Inc. is auctioning off two concept design packages at the 22nd Annual American Cancer Society’s Black & White Ball. One package is for Residential application and the other is for Commercial. These packages are valued at over $2,000 each. So please come to the 22nd Annual Black and White Ball to support and help in the fight against cancer.

 

 

AUGUST 29, 2011:  

CS Custom Structures partners with “The Preserve at Oakwood”

CS Custom Structures is proud to announce that we have recently partnered with “The Preserve at Oakwood”, to be their exclusive architect for phase II design services.

The “Preserve at Oakwood” will be Rivermont’s last residential neighborhood. There are no more large scale building sites in Rivermont, other than, “The Preserve at Oakwood”, which is the previous golf course at Oakwood Country Club.

The developers as well as CS Custom Structures are committed to creating an architectural theme to compliment and, at times, even mimic early Rivermont.

Architectural guidelines prepared by CS Custom Structures reflects on the Bungalow and Craftsman style so popular at the turn of the twentieth century. Detailing will be complimentary to designs of the period provided by previous, notable Lynchburg architects; Edward G. Frye, Aubry Chesterman, J.M.B. Lewis, and S. Preston Craighill to name a few.

 

AUGUST 15, 2011:  Custom Structures Commercial Division was awarded the contract for 2 new 3,300 SF Adult Care Facilities for Central VA Community Services in Lynchburg VA. The Architect is Clarke Nexsen of Richmond.

JUNE 15, 2011:  We are proud to announce that Next Generation Homes has joined the Facebook community.  You can check out our Next Generation Homes page by clicking on the "green" facebook icon found on our website.

 

MARCH 10, 2011:  We are proud to announce Wayne Hardison, AIA, as our newest member of our Design Division at CS Custom Structures Inc. Harrison and Hardison, Architects merged with CS Custom Structures and looks forward to continuing both residential and commercial design services for all in the central Va area.

 

 

OCTOBER 25, 2010: CS Custom Structures Inc. completed the areas first Earthcraft (Platinum) Home.  This home also received the first Watersense certification.  The home is part of the Next Generation Homes series of pre-designed homes offered to the public consisting of 2,088 SQ Ft., amazingly this home is heated by radiant tubing in the floor and a one in a half ton heat pump for cooling. 

 

 

SEPTEMBER 2010: CS Custom Structures, Inc. recently completed a 17,000 SQ. Ft. home in Bedford County with a 4,000 SQ. Ft. interior Swimming Pool.

 

 

MAY 21, 2010:  CS Custom Structures is proud to have built the first LEED for Homes (soon to be rated) residence in Central VA.  We partnered and built the first LGBI EcoHouse in 2010.  Meet some of our involved partners by viewing "How we built the EcoHouse" Our YouTube Channel.

 

 

SEPTEMBER 2009:  We formed Lynchburg Green Building Initiative (LGBI).  LGBI was created to promote sustainable buildings, sites, practices, products and lifestyles, through the networking of like-minded businesses and organizations and the education of our community as a whole.  We seek to provide our region with the resources to make a sustainable community a reality.

 

 

JUNE 2009: CS Custom Structures started talking to the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) about starting a Central VA based branch through the Southwest Chapter.
